A Prayer for Today

Psalm 130 - Waiting for Divine Redemption, A Song of Ascents.
Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications! If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with you, so that you may be revered.
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning, more than those who watch for the morning. O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is steadfast love, and with him is great power to redeem. It is he who will redeem Israel from all its iniquities.

Psalm 131 -Song of Quiet Trust, A Song of Ascents. Of David.
O Lord, my heart is not lifted up, my eyes are not raised too high;I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvellous for me. But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; my soul is like the weaned child that is with me.
O Israel, hope in the Lord from this time on and for evermore.

Lord, thank you for all of the wonderful gifts, people and opportunities you have given me. I put my trust in you to allow me to see this through; for through you all things are possible. Let me use all that you have given me wisely, to do well, to do good and to do Your Will. Amen.
